Constraints Facing the Effective Implementation of Affordable Housing Programme in Kiambu County

Affordable housing remains a major problem for National and County Governments as the increase in population, particularly low-income earners, rises significantly annually. It is evident that despite efforts from both national county governments, Kiambu still lags provision of affordable housing. The development agenda seems not to be getting required traction at level with little participation by private developers. This paper therefore, aims establish constraints experienced effective implementation County. research design adopted this study was survey whereby questionnaires were used. target population comprised 60 real estate developers who have an intention or ongoing projects 100 officers sub-county planners department lands involved policy-making government.
